1000 Party Giveaway Day 3

Are you enjoying your cake and ice cream? Just this afternoon, I finished off a giant chocolate chip cookie slathered in buttercream. They are my weakness. :blush:

For today's giveaway, we have the awesome Ms. Robyn from My Pink Stamper offering up some goodies!! She has a set of stamps and a DVD for some lucky winner.

Look at these darling stamps she has. I have to get my hands on these!

All you need to do is tell me what your favorite cake is. How easy is that? I also want to know if you're a buttercream fan or a whipped cream fan.

We'll pick a random winner in a week.

    Oh don't make me pick just one! There's chocolate, angel food, Kentucky Butter, apple spice and and and they're all my favorites depending on the day/time of year/occasion/etc. I can say I'd pick buttercream over whipped cream though. Thanks for the chance!

    My favorite cake is cheesecake, but for a flour type cake I would go with plain ole' white cake and of course it's gotta be covered in buttercream!!!!

    There is no question, chocolate cake is always my favorite. I'm also a big fan of butter cream, whip cream is not my favorite.

    All the posts above reminded me of all the ones I love! German chocolate came to mind first but then there was a cheesecake reminder: cheesecake with a hint of toasted brown sugar, topped with caramel and Skor pieces. Next was the carrot cake reminder. Oh how I love a moist carrot cake slathered in cream cheese icing... Oh! and my favourite to make: pumpkin pound cake in a bundt pan. Killer!

    The cake I love the most is my mom Crisco Cake she make every Christmas it take a the crisco from the can you know the white stuff...

    The cake is so good and the crust melt in your mouth....

    Ohhh my! My favorite cake is a new one that I have been making. It is Tiriamsu cake. I don't like the ladyfingers in a normal Tiriamsu because they are mushy. So I now make a cake version and it is sooooo good. I shave some chocolate on top and decorate it with Strawberries and Raspberries. I make the frosting out of Kahlua, whipping cream and confectioners sugar.........hhhmm wish I had a slice now!

    I like wedding cake...it has kind of that almond flavor to it. YUM!! Oh, and buttercream frosting. I'm not a fan of whipped cream frosting (probably because I'm not a fan of whipped cream either!).

    Hmmm my favorite cake is Cheese Cake. Love it but I'm now allergic to all good cake. I have celiac and can't eat it anymore :((.     It's sounds weird but one of my favorites is Mayonnaise Cake. It's a chocolate cake and you use mayonnaise instead of eggs in it.

    My favorite kind of cake is chocolate and I prefer buttercream frosting over whipped cream. Unfortunately I can't have either right now because my baby (who I am breastfeeding) is allergic to dairy:( Thank goodness for my non dairy cookbook wit its chocolate cake recipe!

    So many to choose from. My ninny's 10 layer cake with chocolate icing. Red velvet w/ cream cheese icing. But darn good chocolate cake is probably my fav. Chocolate cake, with chocolate pudding inside. Chocolate ganache filling and chocolate icing. Yummo!
    And am definately a buttercream, not a whipped icing kinda girl.

    Ummmm....my favorite cake is a Dobos Torte. I make it at Christmas...it's a traditional Hungarian torte. The recipe is handed down from my grandmother who emigrated from Hungary. It is 21+ layers, takes about 4 hours to make and filled with chocolate buttercream! Now you know the answer to the second question!

    Anyone from the east side of the state of Michigan? The most awesome cake in the world, and my favorite, is the Sander's chocolate buttercream layer cake, It has thick ripples of buttercream on the top layer and then it's all covered in fudge (yes FUDGE) that sinks around the buttercream. MMMM -- I could dive headfirst into that cake!

    My mother would make a checkerboard cake for our birthdays. It is a 3 layer cake with alternating rings of chocolate and white cake. When you slice into it, it looks like a checkerboard. With chocolate frosting, of course.

    Mercy!!! You are making me choose! I love carrot cake, coconut cake, chocolate cake, etc. And I love buttercream frosting!! I guess if I had to choose, I would choose chocolate. I love to eat it in a bowl with milk poured on top of it!!. YUM YUM!

    Oh oh - Raspberry or Strawberry Italian Creme (without the nuts) is my favorite! We're definitely a buttercream family - no question about it! My DH even orders cakes from the bakery in his home town when we go to visit and freezes them for later - their icing is the best!

    Oh, I have not met too many cakes that I don't like! I just had an awesome wedding cake in Florida that was a yellow butter cake with Key Lime frosting, that i am craving right now! I also love Red Velvet Cake and Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese frosting. And I am a buttercream kind of gal!

    I love chocolate cake with cream cheese icing, Or carrot cake with cream cheese icing, or angel food cake topped with fresh strawberries and cool whip. I am making myself so hungry. Too bad I'm on a diet again :( at least I can have the fresh strawberries and fat free cool whip:)!!!

    Boy this is tough, pick a favorite cake. Hmmm....haven't met one that I haven't liked. I love Buttercream Icing - the more the better. I am kind of partial to Red Velvet Cake with cream cheese icing. Yummmm!!!!

    Anything with chocolate! I also love one called an Earthquake cake. It has coconut, pecans, and you drop a mixture of cream cream into the batter before baking. It is ooey gooey deliciousness!

    The love of my life is a cake decorator . . . so I'll eat just about any kind of cake. Although I don't particularly care for coconut. Buttercream is my fave -- although who doesn't enjoy a little whipped cream now and then!
