POW for the Country Life Banner Challenge

There were so many creative projects submitted for the recent Country Life Banner challenge and we thank all of you who participated in the challenge.

I have to admit, while I really adored all the entries (cute, cute, cute), there was one that stood out for me. I just loved the traditional Halloween colors on this banner mixed with the all the Halloween Cricut cuts and detailed embellishments. The buttons tied with twine, the hanging beads and pretty bows just made me smile (you know, one of those really big smiles!).  And by golly, as soon as that smile spread across my face, I knew that I just had to choose Kim's rocking Boo Banner as our Pick of the Week!

Here it is just in case you missed it...

Kim will receive a sweet little blog button as our Bitten by the Bug2 pick of the week for this darling Halloween inspired banner.  Please join all of us in congratulating Kim and thank you again to everyone who joined in our banner challenge!

POW for Heritage/Sewing Machine

I loved that sewing machine challenge! Everyone did such a great job. We loved looking at all of your creations.

For this challenge, we could only pick one winner. I chose this cute little card from Peggy.

I love the red flourishes she used to accent the machine. I also really like the label the sentiment is on.

Congratulations, Peggy!! Peggy, you will get a BBTB2 Project of the Week blinkie to put on your blog.

Thanks everyone for participating.

Country Life, Banners & Blog Hop: Oh My!

It is time for another fabulous Bitten by the Bug2 Challenge and our end of the month Blog Hop too! I'm Beth Moore and I had the pleasure of selecting the cartridge for this week and hosting the blog as well. The Country Life cartridge is one of my favorites and I knew I wanted to select a cut from it, but I also felt that since it is a pretty new cart, not everyone might have it to play along. So, for this challenge, use ANY special feature banner key from the Country Life cartridge or in lieu of that, use ANY banner on any cartridge in the whole line of Cricut carts! It is my hope that with such a wide selection, everyone who wants to play along with us this week can and will!

I think you'll be inspired too by our Designer reveals this week. There are so many fabulous ideas to get you cutting with your Cricut!

Make sure to visit all the blogs along the way... you never know who might be giving away some awesome blog candy! If you get lost along the way, just come back here to find your place. Have fun and happy hopping!

Barn...Old West

Hi everyone, Theresa here and it’s my week to pick the challenge and I chose the Barn from the Old West Cartridge. I Love Old Westerns and a fairly new “Country Girl” so this challenge is close to home for me. I had a blast with this challenge and knowing these amazing gals here at BBTB2, I’m sure they had fun with it also. I always look forward to Monday mornings because they never cease to WOW me with what they come up with, aren‘t they all amazing!

We would love to have you join us in the challenge so if you don’t have The Old West cartridge and want to join in you can use ANY cartridge that has a Barn on it, there are a few, and make sure you link up your project with Mr. Linky. Remember we will be giving out the Project of the week Blinkie to one lucky participant to display proudly on your blog and bragging rights!

Well put your cowboy boots on and take a trip out to The Old West and meander to the Barn, take a rest in the Hay Loft and enjoy soaking in the wonderful projects from the BBTB2 Design Team……….

Enjoy!

Do you need more incentive?

As of now, Friday night, there are no entries for the Haunted House challenge. It's not THAT hard! ;)

Just to entice you a little more (because you know how much we love looking at your work), I'm giving away two sets of Halloween papers from MME. Each one has 9 papers and a die cut sheet.

So, all you have to do is make a spooky Halloween house (either 3-D or flat like Theresa made) in order to win. One winner will be chosen at random. You have to upload a project using Linky.

I'm going to change the challenge end date by one extra week. You have another 2 weeks to complete a house. You can do it!! I know you can!

ETA: Ok, there were 7 entries, not zero. I had the wrong Linky code in there. Thank you for pointing that out!

ETA: Link to challenge: here

P.S. That Spellbinders die in the back corner is mine and not included in the giveaway. ;)

3-D Haunted House - Happy Hauntings

Hi this is Susan and this is my week to select the challenge cut for the Design Team. In true Halloween spirit (or is that Spirits?) I chose the 3-D Haunted House from Happy Hauntings. This house is sooo adorable when completed; it will make a perfectly haunting accent in your October decor.

There are quite a few pieces to cut with this house but the cutting goes quickly. The assembly on the other hand does take time, but the results are well worth the effort. The back of the Happy Hauntings manual has step by step assembly instructions that even I could follow!

As a team we discovered that cutting the house at 7 inches allowed it to fit on the 12 x 12 mat. With that little tid bit of info, don't forget to play along with us and add your project to Linky below. We'll be giving away a Project of the Week blinkie to one lucky participant. If you don't have Happy Hauntings, feel free to use another cart to make a spooky house (either 1-D or 3-D).
