Love is in the air...And it always amazes me how quickly after Christmas we start to see valentine treats...the shades of red, pink and purple start to fill the stores and we see love in the air...smile...I love Valentine's day and never find enough time to create everything I want or need so this week I chose a cut for our challenge that would start our Valentine projects... This week our team of wonderful, sweet designers were to use the Stamp cut from the Sweethearts Cartridge. The Sweethearts Cartridge is filled with wonderful cuts for Valentine projects and seemed to be the perfect fit...and it is...Take a look at these wonderful projects the designers have created...They have taken this challenge to a different level...the projects are not only perfect for Valentine's day but are the perfect gift for a wedding, anniversary or even just a "Just Because" love note.... Wonderful job ladies!!! I am truly "In Love" with all this creativity!!

Big Hugs

Doodlecharms...Snowman challenge

My name is Krista Norman and I am honored to be hosting BBTB2 this week. So what does winter mean to you? To me it often means sledding with my kiddos, ice-skating in our local park, and of course building snowmen. We recently had a huge snowstorm in our city so I couldn't help but choose the cute little snowman on Doodlecharms as our challenge this week. This snowman is the cutest ever and all of the girls did a fabulous job displaying that. Please join us in creating your very own snow friend. Remember whatever fills your life with joy, now is the time to embrace it and celebrate. I wish you a month of fun and taking some time to document the things you love, especially creating that wintery friend.

Contest Time!

I promised you a contest and here it is! It's Bitten By The Bug 2's first (of many) contests. Expressions Vinyl has a generous package of vinyl ready to ship to the winner of our next contest.

All you need to do is make a Valentine's Day project using any cut from any Cricut cartridge that you want.

Ok, but it's not that easy. I'm going to make you work for it. You have to add the color purple to your project. It doesn't have to be a lot. Just a little touch if you want or make the whole project purple.

I know you can do this and we can't wait to see what you create. To enter, please add your link to McKlinky below.

The contest is open until January 26 11:00 MST. We'll draw a winner by February 1st.

A Child's Year ...Valentine challenge...Expressions Vinyl

Hello everyone! Valentine's Day is just around the corner and what better time than now to start your projects. You're going to LOVE what these ladies have created this week. Jennifer Wuthrich chose the Valentine's cut from A Child's Year for this week's challenge. Jennifer is feeling a little under the weather this week so I'm going to do the introduction. If you feel up to it, maybe you could leave her a "get well soon" comment on her blog.

BBTB2 also has their very first sponsor! Expressions Vinyl is hosting the designers this week. Psssst....watch for a new contest this week.

Here's a little bit about them:

Expressions Vinyl sells craft vinyl for all your scrapbook vinyl and vinyl crafting needs.

We sell the same craft vinyl that Provo Craft sells for their Cricut vinyl. We cut out the fancy Cricut vinyl packaging and the distribution system to bring the same high quality Cricut vinyl to you at a fraction the cost.

If you've never used vinyl, that's not a problem. They have numerous How-To videos here.

I had never used vinyl before and was slightly intimidated by it. After watching some of the videos, I think I'm hooked. It's so easy and so much fun!

Look at all the different colors they carry, too! I'm going back to buy more. :)

So, without further ado, here are this week's projects from the BBTB2 designers. I'm suddenly in the mood for a big red heart filled with chocolates...

I've had a few questions asked about the challenges. Let me see if I can answer some of them here. The challenges run for 2 weeks. You can share your finished project with us and everyone else by adding your link to McKlinky below. You can link either your blog or another on-line gallery you have. If you don't have an on-line gallery, you can start one here at A Peek Into Yesterday. You can post ANY type of project you make. We love to see layouts, cards, boxes, anything you can think of. Please share with us! Thanks!

Graphically Speaking - In Style challenge

Hello old and new friends,

Let me introduce myself…

I first bought a Cricut in May of 2008. I saw a beautiful card made with the Indie Art cart and I was hooked. I love this machine so much and I don’t know how I ever created without it.

Sometime during the summer of 2008, I discovered Regina’s Bitten by the Bug site. Wow! What an incredible source of inspiration! I bookmarked that blog and visited every week. I really wanted to be a part of that amazing team.

In October 2008, I was asked to be a guest designer for BBTB. I was so nervous! I guess Regina liked what I did because she asked me to stay and be a permanent part of the team. I was absolutely honored.

Over the last 14 months, I’ve watched and have been amazed with the creativity of this team. I am in awe of their talents. This is why when Regina said that she had to step down, there was no way I could let BBTB end. It is a constant source of inspiration to me and I hope it is for you, too.

Thank you for your continuing support.

Heather Binnie

Now, for this week’s challenge, the designers were asked to use the In Style cut from the Graphically Speaking cart.

I love (as usual) what each of the designers have created this week:
