Bloom Dimensional Flower

Time for a new challenge here at BBTB2. It's Jeri, hosting this week. One of the hottest design trends going now is dimensional flowers. I asked the Design Team to give us some dimension this week using the Bloom cartridge's six petal flower, which is positioned in row number 4, key number 10 on the overlay. If you don't have the Bloom cartridge, please use a six petal flower from any other Cricut cartridge. We just ask that your creation be new for this challenge and not something you've made previously. So layer 'em on and make 'em pretty. We can't wait to see what you create.

Welcome to the New Year Friends! This is Krista Norman, today I have the honor of being your host. There is nothing quite like the anticipation of what the New Year will bring. Maybe you have been wanting to try something new and exciting? Could it be ice-skating? LOL... I used to skate all the time when I was little, I remember just gliding along, feeling the cool breeze on my face at my local parks. The memories of those winter days make me happy. I decided to choose the Winter Woodland cart this week. The skate/skates on there are so darling. Hello everyone! It's me, Heather.

I want to thank you so very much for sticking with me for the last two years. I have made a difficult decision to step down from being in charge of Bitten by the Bug 2. My grandson was recently born in late October and I will be his full time caregiver while my daughter goes back to work. I will have little time to do much of anything except play with Blake all day. :)

I'll still be here and will do the occasional challenge.

So, effective 2012 Donna and Carole are to take over. Yay! They're going to keep it going and I know it's going to be better than ever.

Walk in My Garden... wheelbarrow challenge

Happy Monday everyone! It's Donna Mundinger here, bringing our final challenge for September (do you believe it?) and our end of the month BLOG HOP! I've chosen an "oldie but goodie" cart again this week. Walk In My Garden was one of the first cartridges I bought when I received my Expression back in 2008 and I still love it to bits. I've chosen the wheelbarrow cut and can't wait to see what you fill it with. Of course, as always, if you don't have the cartridge you may substitute a wheelbarrow from another one, as long as you create something "new" for us and link it back to BBTB2. If you can't find a wheelbarrow, how about a wagon? The DT has provided gorgeous inspiration and we're anxious to see what you create. And please join us for our monthly Blog Hop. A new contest - {ippity} stamps

Hello everyone! This is Heather and I have a fun announcement to make!!

Heather Flaherty from {ippity} stamps is hosting us this week!! If you're not familiar with {ippity} stamps, here is some information on them:

{ippity} Stamps is a new line of stamps created by Unity Stamp Company that is only sold through individuals such as myself – we are called {ippity} Chicks! I have been an {ippity} Chick since March of 2010.

The stamps are high quality, deeply etched red rubber mounted on cling foam. They can be used with any acrylic stamping block or with the {ippity} stamping block available for purchase.

On my Blog you can view the full line of {ippity} stamps via Catalog, you can also check what the DT has been up to with the New Releases!

Sooo, this is what we're going to do. We're going to have a little contest that will run for one week. At the end of the week, we'll choose a winner and Heather will send the winner this stamp set:

Good morning readers! It's my turn to host the blog and hop this time. I've decided to go old school this week and pick an oldie but goodie...Stretch Your Imagination.

I picked the watermelon cut because, well, it is the middle of summer and nothing reminds me more of summer than watermelon...even though I don't eat it. I really dislike watermelon and one of my children is allergic to it. BUT, it doesn't seem to matter because when I see watermelon, I see summer.

Celebrate With Flourish--Sunny Days

Happy Summer, everyone! Susan here bringing you this week's Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge. This week the design team is using the "Sunny Days" cut from the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge. Celebrate with Flourish is one of my favorite under used cartridges! What I mean by that is I really love the flourish cuts on the cartridge, but I do not use the cartridge as frequently as I should.

Celebrate with Flourish has an abundance of seasonal and holiday cuts making it an amazing all-purpose cartridge. And the phrase "Sunny Days" was perfect for the start of "official" summer!

After you have viewed the team projects, we would love it if you would play along with us. Simply create a new project using the "Sunny Days" from Celebrate with Flourish (or another fun font) and post a link to your project below this post.

Freshly Picked...Gnome Challenge

Welcome Everyone, Theresa here, I'm just Chillin "Hangin With My Gnomies" here at Bitten By The Bug 2 weekly challenge! It's my week to pick the challenge and since I've been up to my neck in dirt (and heat, yuck!) working in my Garden, I had to share a few of my Gnomies (aka: Friends) that I've been spending alot of time with! I love the "Freshly Picked" cartridge and actually got it for the cute little Gnomes, but I Love to Garden so it was a huge added bonus!
Well as you guessed I picked the Gnomes to use as my weekly challenge and after I did I realized there weren't any other Gnomes on any of the other carts, well, actually I got a frantic e-mail from some of my Gnomies (aka: Design Team Sisters) saying they didn't have the cart so could I add another image, so I frantically looked at some of the other carts and came to the conclusion that some of the little Elves on some of the carts (Jolly Holidays, Wrap it Up, Paper Doll Dress Up and Gingerbread) look sort of like a Gnome so if you don't have Freshly Picked feel free to use one of the other carts. OR.....................if you don't like the Adorable Little Gnomes you are free to use a Birdbath as a Garden Decoration.

Good morning, all! It's Donna here and I'm excited to be hosting this week's challenge. I don't know about you, but I've accumulated quite a few of the "newer" cartridges but as of yet, have had no time to play with them. While browsing the manual of Florals Embellished, I came across not only lovely flowers, but beautiful birds as well, so I chose the flying bird on page 61. Of course if you don't have Florals Embellished, you may use any of the flying birds, from any of the cartridges, as you see some of my sweet sisters have done here. Good morning everyone! It's me, Heather. It's my turn to host the challenge. I chose the apple core from the Preserves cart.

Before we get to the details, I'd like to introduce a new Designer to Bitten By the Bug 2. Please give a warm welcome to Carri V. You can see her blog here. We're so excited to have her as part of the team.

While working on the project, I realized I had kind of stumped myself. Would an apple core make a good "Thinking of You" card? What would that mean? I ate this apple and now I'm looking at the core and it reminds me of you? No, that wouldn't work. Or, what about a "Thank You" card? An apple core and a "thank you" could be taken as a "Gee, thanks for nothing" sarcastic kind of card.

I was telling my mother my dilemma and within a few seconds, she suggest it be a get well card. You know, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away".

"PERFECT!" I exclaimed. So, that's what I went with.
