Paisley...Purse cut challenge and blog hop

Welcome to the BBTB2 and our weekly challenge !!!! I am Lori, and I have the great honor of being your hostess this week ! I selected the Paisley cartridge for our challenge, and asked the Design Team to use any of the three purses as their cut. I selected the 'envelope purse' and used design studio to make it into a purse with a flap and a bottom. The top of the purse opens up to reveal the inside which has a 'fold out' which you can put your pictures on. I thought this would make a great little album cover and so cute and girly. I also decided to cut some shapes from Paisley to make little 'charms' for the purse strap. I cut these out of Shrinky Dink material, colored with permanent marker, punched a hole in them and then shrunk them in the oven ! This was SOOOOO much fun, I see lots of home-made charms adorning many of my upcoming projects !

Thank you again to our Guest Designer, Alicia Giess. She does such beautiful work. Be sure to check her gallery here.

Sweet Treats....Cake2 Cut Challenge, Birthday Bash and Guest Designer

Welcome to the BBTB2 and our fabulous BBTB2 Birthday Bash. This is Susan and I have the joy of being your hostess this week. I selected Cake2 cut from the Sweet Treats cartridge as this week's challenge cut. Today (Sunday) is my 50th birthday and the Design Team is celebrating with me. They have created fabulous projects to highlight the versatility of this wonderful cake2 cut, while showcasing their own unique talents. Thanks for stopping by my BBTB2 Birthday Bash and be sure to play along!!!We also have a Guest Designer this month. Please welcome Alicia Giess!

I'm Alicia Giess, and I am the mother of 4 children, ages 15, 12, 10 and 8. I started scrapping when I returned from a vacation from Hawaii, and I've been hooked since my very first page. I purchased a Cricut for myself for Christmas in 2008 and fell instantly in love with it. It makes all my projects so much more fun. Most of the time, I'm fighting my girls for time on it because they like to play with it too. It is so challenging trying to make my Cricut cuts creative and my own. I love to use it for cards and also my scrapbook pages. The possibilities are endless with the Cricut.

You can see Alicia's gallery here.

It's time for a contest

It's that time again. Did you dust off your ink pads and warm your fingers up?

Technique Tuesday is giving away a $25.00 gift certificate to one lucky winner. All you need to do is make a pretty spring project using stamps. Of course, your project must also include a Cricut cut.

Stretch Your Imagination and Technique Tuesday

Hello everyone! This is Heather and do I have a special treat for you this time! Technique Tuesday is sponsoring Bitten By The Bug 2. Have you ever used a Technique Tuesday stamp? If not, you'll be in for a treat. If you have, then you know what I mean when I say they are one of the best clear stamps around.

I've been using Technique Tuesday stamps since I could first get my hands on them. I think it was around 2004. My first sets were the cutest fonts to use in scrapbooks. Since that time, they have come out with more than just alphas...there is just about every design you can think of and now some of them are even geared towards card makers. I use a lot of their stamps in my card classes.

They also make some very cool chipboard pieces that can be inked, painted and my latest and personal favorite...Glimmer Misted. (Yes, I just turned "Glimmer Mist" into a verb).

If you're looking for more inspiration using the stamps, I have a ton on my personal blog, A Little Time.

I love their latest release. However, if you know me, you know I say that every time. But this time, I really mean it. ;) I'll link you to the releases and you can see for yourself. Click here.

Technique Tuesday gave the BBTB2 design team one their newest sets to play with, Oh, Deer!

In addition to the darling stamp set, I asked the designers to use the Flourish 3 cut from Stretch Your Imagination. I love what they have come up with!!

Now you know, whenever we have a new sponsor, that means a contest is coming up for you guys. Within the next couple days, I'll be posting a new contest with a generous prize package from Technique Tuesday. I'm going to make you do stamping on this contest so get out your ink pads and dust them off. You can do this, I know you can.

If you don't want to wait for a contest to get your stamps, you can buy them straight from Technique Tuesday or you can buy them here at A Peek Into Yesterday.

Don't forget to play along with us using this flourish or if you don't have SYI, use a flourish from another cart. We love to see what you do. Link it up using McKlinky.

Thanks again for everything.
