Paisley Dachshund Challenge!

Hello! Welcome to another fabulous week of Bitten By the Bug2! Melissa here, hosting this week's BBTB2 Challenge. The weather is warming up...the days are getting longer...outdoor activities are calling our names! I love this time of year. I so enjoy walking my miniature dachshund out in the warm sunshine, hearing the birds chirping, feeling the cool breeze. So, since my weenie dog brings me so much joy, I chose the dachshund (dog1) cut from the Paisley cartridge for this week's challenge. If you don't have that cartridge, any little doggie will do. Take a look at all the designer's beautiful creations, get some inspiration, and go Cricut somethin' up! Don't forget to show off your creations with McLinky. You know we LOVE to see them! Happy Spring everyone! ~Melissa

Paisley...Purse cut challenge and blog hop

Welcome to the BBTB2 and our weekly challenge !!!! I am Lori, and I have the great honor of being your hostess this week ! I selected the Paisley cartridge for our challenge, and asked the Design Team to use any of the three purses as their cut. I selected the 'envelope purse' and used design studio to make it into a purse with a flap and a bottom. The top of the purse opens up to reveal the inside which has a 'fold out' which you can put your pictures on. I thought this would make a great little album cover and so cute and girly. I also decided to cut some shapes from Paisley to make little 'charms' for the purse strap. I cut these out of Shrinky Dink material, colored with permanent marker, punched a hole in them and then shrunk them in the oven ! This was SOOOOO much fun, I see lots of home-made charms adorning many of my upcoming projects !

Thank you again to our Guest Designer, Alicia Giess. She does such beautiful work. Be sure to check her gallery here.
